
| The Fokker F.XXII
is a four-engined commercial monoplane arranged to accommodate twenty-two
passengers. The passenger cabin is divided into four compartments,
three seating six and the remaining one four passengers. In front
of the cabin is the steward's pantry, and aft are a cloak-room and
lavatory. The F.XXII has a steel-tube fuselage and an all-wood wing.
It is fitted with four 525 h.p. Pratt & Whitney "Wasp"
engines and weighs, fully loaded, 28,600 lbs. Its cruising speed is
165 m.p.h. Two Fokker F.XXII monoplanes are in service on the European
lines of K.L.M. |
