
| Three Junkers
Ju.52/3M low-wing, three-engined, all metal monoplanes were acquired
by the Magyar Legiforgalmi R.T. (M.A.L.E.R.T. or Hungarian Air Transport
Company) in April 1936 to operate the Budapest-Vienna-Salzburg-Munich-Zurich
air route in Co-operation with Deutsche Luft Hansa (German Air Lines)
and Oelag (Austrian Air Lines). The Ju52/3M, which is built by Junkers
Flugzeug-werke A.G., of Dessau, has a corrugated metal skin covering
on the fuselage, wings and tail, and has accommodation for seventeen
passengers. Its three 650 h.p. B.M.W. "Hornet" engines give
it a cruising speed of 162 m.p.h. The weight, fully loaded, is 20,250
