Junkers Ju.52/3M
Three Junkers Ju.52/3M low-wing, three-engined, all metal monoplanes were acquired by the Magyar Legiforgalmi R.T. (M.A.L.E.R.T. or Hungarian Air Transport Company) in April 1936 to operate the Budapest-Vienna-Salzburg-Munich-Zurich air route in Co-operation with Deutsche Luft Hansa (German Air Lines) and Oelag (Austrian Air Lines). The Ju52/3M, which is built by Junkers Flugzeug-werke A.G., of Dessau, has a corrugated metal skin covering on the fuselage, wings and tail, and has accommodation for seventeen passengers. Its three 650 h.p. B.M.W. "Hornet" engines give it a cruising speed of 162 m.p.h. The weight, fully loaded, is 20,250 lbs.
