Envoy has been a familiar type of aircraft for some time, and has
proved its reliability all over the world. A special version of this
machine had the honour of being selected for His Majesty's private
plane. Envoys have a noteworthy stability, and their flapped wings
enable them to land at about 60 m.p.h., thus not requiring a large
aerodrome. Two Armstrong-Siddeley Cheetah engines give it the useful
cruising speed of 170 m.p.h. |
