| The Bristol Bombay
is a large twin-engined land monoplane for bombing or transport purposes.
The machine has a wing-span of 96 feet and a loaded weight of over
eight tons. A crew of four is carried for bombing purposes, and for
troop carrying a crew of three, with accommodation for twenty-four
fully-armed men. There are gun turrets in the nose and tail. The engines
are Bristol Pegasus XX's, each giving over 800 h.p. driving variable
pitch air-screws. |
