Fairey Swordfish
The Fairy Swordfish is used by the Fleet Air Arm for reconnaissance and torpedo spotting. A crew of three is normally carried, but for torpedo work this is reduced to two. The land-plane type is shown here, but the Swordfish is often equipped with floats instead of wheels, for landing on water. The wings are arranged to fold for stowage aboard. This machine is also adapted for catapulting into the air.
