| The Miles Rolls-Royce
Trainer is being delivered in large numbers to the R.A.F. It is of
all-wood construction and powered by a Kestrel 745 h.p. engine, giving
it a speed of 295 m.p.h. at 16,500 feet. It is thus excellently adapted
for its purpose of training fighter pilots. The moulded windscreen
with its flat optical glass and rear windows give all-round visibility,
and the machine can attain a height of 30,000 feet. |
