Short Sunderland

| The Sunderland is a long-range reconnaissance flying boat built for the R.A.F. by Short Bros. and closely resembling the Imperial Airways "Empire Flying Boat" of the same makers. The wing-span of these huge planes is over 112 feet and the wing area nearly 1,500 square feet. They have living accommodation for a crew of several men, and a very long range of action. The top speed is 210 m.p.h. |
