Martin 130 Clipper
The "China Clipper" is one of the Glenn Martin 130 flying-boats designed for Trans-oceanic service to the order of Pan American Airways. They are being used on the 8,200-mile service from San Francisco to Manila, Philippine Islands, the entire route being over the Pacific. The Glenn Martin 130 is an all metal flying-boat with accommodation for forty-eight passengers, and is fitted with four 800 h.p. Pratt & Whitney "Twin-Wasp" engines which give it a cruising speed of 150 m.p.h.. It weighs fully loaded 51,000 lbs.
